http://www.esu.eu/en/news/read-news-entry/article/firmware-4214-fuer-esu-zentralen-veroeffentlicht/
Firmware version 4.2.14 is now available for free download for all ESU command stations.
From...ESU CabControl. This enables compatible handheld controllers or smartphone apps (especially the well-known Enginedriver for Android or WiThrottle for Apple iOS) to connect directly to the ICU command station via WLAN and control locomotives and accessories. No additional hardware components are required. The firmware for the CabControl can be downloaded free of charge.
The WiThrottle server is also available for the ECoS command stations 50220, 50210 and 50020 with color display from firmware 4.2.14. These command stations can also now also be accessed directly with compatible apps or handheld controllers. The older ECoS command stations and Central Station Reloaded devices also benefit from the new firmware 4.2.14: it is now possible to copy routes. This makes it much easier to set up more complex system controls. All ESU forum users registered with their ECOS serial number can download the new firmware free of charge.]]>Sat, 03 Aug 2024 16:47:00 +0200projects.esu.eu moved to new server - 16 HiFi sound projects published
http://www.esu.eu/en/news/read-news-entry/article/projectsesueu-umgezogen-16-hifi-soundprojekte-veroeffentlicht/
After a long period of preparation, the time has finally come today: Our project website...https://projects.esu.eu, on which all sound projects for ESU decoders are stored, has moved to a new server. We expect better availability and more stable download times. In addition, the site will be better protected against attacks from the web with the help of Cloudflare. At the same time as the move, we are very pleased to be able to publish 16 (!) newly developed steam locomotive projects in the “LokSound 5 European sounds” category. All of them have been completely resampled and redesigned to make your steam locomotives even more realistic. We hope that there is something for you too. As always with ESU, the sound projects are licensed free of charge for use with ESU LokSound 5 decoders. We are currently working on creating new demo sounds and more demo videos for the new project files. More project files are also in the works. Please visit our website regularly, it's worth it!]]>Fri, 26 Jul 2024 11:22:00 +0200LokProgrammer Software 5.2.9 published

This includes firmware 5.10.168, 5.10.169, 5.10.172 for all LokSound 5 and LokPilot 5 decoders. This will add versatile new features to our decoders: A new auxiliary steam chuff trigger can be used to independently control a second steam motor in steam locomotive projects. We also extended the SUSI Mapping by one line to control F0 Reverse independently: This is needed for new upcoming Märklin® / Trix® H0 Tender steam locomotives to maintain the correct function of the headlights. In the same locomotives, the new light output mode (effect) "Steam trigger Edge Toggle" can be used to correctly control the synchronized smoke units. Using this firmware (and the correct settings) will allow for these locomotives to work flawlessly using an original LokSound 5 decoders offereing industry-leading sound features. Finally, we added two new SNCB signals for the SignalPilot.]]>Wed, 24 Jul 2024 11:36:00 +0200ESU LLC Summer break

For the first time, it is now possible to adjust the desired acoustics to the speaker installed there using bass and treble control. Similar to what you are used to with a stereo system, the sound can be easily adjusted using just two controls (here: CV 196 for bass, CV 197 for treble).
This makes the use of the new ESU loudspeakers with passive radiator technology (ESU 50344 or 50345) even more perfect!
And the best thing about it: The new tone control is implemented solely in the decoder's firmware. All you need to do is update the decoder's firmware; the sound files themselves do not need to be changed or reinstalled. This is advantageous for customers who do not have the original project file available.
Instructions on how to do the whole thing can be found in the Tips & Tricks section.]]>Mon, 13 Nov 2023 15:53:00 +0100 LokProgrammer Software 5.2.4 published
http://www.esu.eu/en/news/read-news-entry/article/lokprogrammer-software-524-veroeffentlicht/
From now, the new LokProgrammer Software 5.2.4. is available for download.
The new LokProgrammer... Software 5.2.4. contains firmware 5.8.156 for all LokSound 5 decoders. This firmware defines a new "Class Light Logic" function, which allows you to cycle through 2 or 3 lights one after the other using the same function key. CV199=1 or 2 defines the number of lights (2 or 3). Each class light color is assigned an AUX output and the "sequence position" to which each color appears can be set with CV32=0 and then adjusting CV258 to values of 64, 128, or 192 accordingly. Of course this is easiest set by using the LokProgrammer software in the function outputs window. Furthermore, the "alternative phase" for flashing effects has been replaced by the "phase shift" so that the starting point of the output can be freely shifted, no longer do alternating lights need to be in exact opposite phase with each other. Sensors 1 and 2 can now alternatively be defined as analog inputs (provided the locomotive's motherboard supports this). In addition, Dynamic Sound Control has been released for the first time, which enables a load-dependent sound using our Primary Load and Optional Load functionality. This feature is currently intended for LokSound users who are keen to experiment. We will provide further information very soon in the ESU forum.]]>Thu, 20 Jul 2023 19:04:00 +0200
